GROUP INTERESTS

We, the hosts, will provide arrangements for transport, language translation, restaurant bookings, cultural understanding, local visits, sightseeing and organising any further activities.

And, the most important thing: we will be with you all the way, enjoying this great experience and helping the group to create a feeling of caring, community, consideration and kinship.

On the other hand, should you have any need for further privacy, we can always be flexible and arrange a different place for you to stay, or suggest alternative activities or restaurants and you can be with us just 'part-time'.

LUNCH, DINING AND GOING OUT:

Breakfast (at the rural houses): an earthy breakfast with local quality food and plenty of local flavour.

Lunch and Dinner: A choice of the best food available in the friendliest of restaurants, to be enjoyed as a group. Sample quaint places and eat original dishes that you have never tried before.

Dining: To be enjoyed as a group, with the possibility of night outings. Even in the smallest of the La Vera villages you will be able to find good restaurants and pubs open at any time of the year.

Since we will not be visiting at the peak time of the year, (avoiding June to mid September, Spanish Easter and Christmas) we should be able to explore the night life in moderation and enjoy the good local wines sensibly in quality company (yours). However, we are not boozers so if your expectation is to get plastered every night…sorry, that's not us... .

RELAXATION AND RECUPERATION:

An emphasis will be placed on the spontaneity arising from the interaction between group and place.

We aim to be as flexible as possible in order to provide you with the highest quality holiday. You are not required to do anything! Simply being in the place can be sufficient in itself; however, we have also sourced a range of professional guides should you wish to try anything different .

SIGHTSEEING AND MUSEUMS:

You will be spoilt for choice among the sightseeing, walks and museums to be enjoyed along the 16 villages in La Vera. We are full of ideas of fascinating things to do and see and will delight in recommending a group and/or personal itinerary and to arrange it.

We will be visiting the local gorges and the rich variety of surroundings in “the land of endless springtime” that provides an instant wind-down, with awesome views and an extravagance of nature that invites emotions to be opened and feelings to be shared.

Visits to the famous Monastery of Yuste (where the opera Don Carlos (written by Verdi) was inspired) and the local museums: the Museum of the Inquisition, the Museum of the Empalaos (an impressive religious local fiesta), Museum Pecharromán, will provide an interesting insight into Spanish culture and its past.

We will take you to magical and secretive places whose communities have stories hundreds of years old, proudly maintaining their independence and traditional ways. (Do not expect to see many foreign tourists around here!)

We will be informed of any other cultural activities organised in the area and will try to take you to them (folklore dancing, local parties and markets will be a bonus).
